ISA efterfrågar nu nomineringar till "World Surfing Reserves List". Mölle är redan listad som hotad våg därmed i behov av skydd!I samarbete med organisationen "Save The Waves Coalition" vill International Surfing Association (ISA) verka för att skydda och bevara hotade vågor runt om i världen.
För att platsa som "surfreservat" listas sju kriterier:
- A world class wave
- An important expression of present surf culture
- A testimony to a past surf culture tradition
- An outstanding example of human use of coastal resources
- A direct association with surfing and community events
- Natural beauty and unique features of a coastal area
- An important area for marine life and ecosystems
Vidare skriver ISAs ordförande:
"The future protection, management, authenticity and integrity of waves and their respective surf zones are also important considerations. Candidate waves under immediate threat will be given special consideration."
Senast 30 maj 2009 behöver nomineringar till listan lämnas till Save The Waves genom SSA.
